Frontend Development

front end developer freelance

If you’re interested in becoming a front-end developer, you need to know a few key things. First and foremost, you’ll need to be well-versed in HTML and CSS. These two languages are essential for creating the structure and style of web pages, respectively. Additionally, it’s important to grasp basic text editing well; after all, much of your work will involve working with code and markup. Finally, having some knowledge of design principles will also be helpful, as many front-end developers are responsible for creating visually appealing websites. With all that in mind, let’s take a closer look at each topic.

HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the standard markup language

Web browsers receive HTML documents from a web server or local storage and render them into multimedia web pages. HTML describes the structure of a web page semantically and originally included cues for the document’s appearance.

HTML elements are the building blocks of HTML pages. With HTML constructs, images and other objects, such as interactive forms, may be embedded into the rendered page. It provides a means to create structured documents by denoting structural semantics for text such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links, quotes, and other items. Tags are written using angle brackets to describe HTML elements.

CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)

CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is a style sheet language used for describing the presentation of a document written in a markup language. A style sheet is a collection of rules that tells a web browser how to display a document written in HTML or XML.

CSS is used to style all HTML tags, including the document’s body, headings, paragraphs, and other pieces of text. CSS can also be used to style the display of table elements, grid elements, fonts, colors, and images.

Javascript

JavaScript is a programming language that allows you to create interactive websites. JavaScript can validate form data, create cookies, detect the user’s browser, and more.

JavaScript is an interpreted language that can be run without being compiled. However, JavaScript programs are typically written in a text editor and then run in a web browser and receive information from the backend.

FRONT END HACK

Thank you for sticking in there and reading the article, so here’s the frontend hack for you. I can’t read a book to save my life, but I’m gonna refer to these two books, and I’ll tell you that after you’re done with these two books, you’re going to be ready to take on the front-end development. I’ve been studying web design since 2000, and I can tell you the first book, HTML and CSS Web Standards Solutions: A Web Standardistas’ Approach

changed my life. It was written so well it made it fun to follow along; before I knew it, I had finished the book from beginning to end, and just to keep it real for you that was a first for me. The second book I use for reference is HTML and CSS: Design and Build Websites. That book has saved me when I get stuck.

Conclusion

Frontend development is converting data into a graphical interface with which users can interact. This can be done using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. HTML defines the page’s structure, CSS defines the style, and javascript adds interactivity. All three are necessary to create a complete web page.
